Big numbers… Numbers that keep you awake at night?

Do you plan to retire in your early or mid-sixties? Or at a later age?

Do you have any plans in place to make your next stage of life meaningful?

Retirement is the MOST UNDER-PLANNED part of life.

Not necessarily in terms of financial planning, but in planning for a mentally and physically healthy future in old age.

The Facts

  • Retirement is the number 10 stressor on the Homes Rahe Scale of 43.

  • While financial planning is at the forefront of retirement planning, little thought is given to planning for other, important aspects of life. With serious health consequences.

  • People are living longer. Octogenarians are the fastest-growing retirement group, and in the past 20-plus years, there has been a 44% increase in centenarians (over 100).

  • The use of drugs and alcohol by retirees has tripled since the nineties.

  • Depression among older people is on the rise while the number of retired people experiencing mental disorders has risen by about 20%.

  • Ageism is well-established in our society and has consequences for enjoying a healthy retirement.

What is

Retirement

Coaching?

As a Retirement Coach, Brendan sits down with you to discuss your plans, goals, and ambitions for the upcoming new stage of your life. He will make sure you understand the factors that trip people up in retirement and that can cause serious problems. Brendan will make sure you avoid “failing at retiring”. He will take the trauma out of this transition.

Together you review other critical aspects of retirement, such as your physical well-being and your mental goals. Brendan will guide you in discussing these aspects, how to work with them, how to make them part of your life, and how to use them in a healthy and meaningful way.

Together you draw up a plan so you can transition smoothly and easily to the next stage of your life full of meaning and purpose. You will avoid the insidious traps of an unplanned retirement, such as depression or worse.
