Reiki is a Japanese tradition for relaxation and stress reduction. It promotes healing through the flow of energy and life force from a Reiki practitioner’s hands. The Reiki technique is simple and safe for everybody. Many people experience feelings of peace and well-being. The tradition is used globally to complement Western medicine healing practices.

The Reiki practice was founded by Mikao Usui back in the early twentieth century. The word Reiki comes from the Japanese words “rei” and “ki”. Rei means “Higher Power” and Ki means “Life Force Energy”. Usui not only promoted the spiritual aspects of his Reiki technique but also practiced them in real life. He encouraged others to do the same and thus create peace and harmony among people.
